International Land Coalition Africa

Abstract

The International Land Coalition (ILC) is a global action network undertaking land monitoring activities at global, regional, national and local levels. The diverse types of organisations that comprise its membership enable ILC to present a more holistic picture of land-related developments, in line with its principles of People-Centred Land Governance, as defined by ILC members. In this regard, ILC's land monitoring supports the complementarity of engaging in the production of official data through IGO and research-based members, while at the same time, giving such data a human dimension by collecting and disseminating information and stories captured by CSO members working closely with rural women, men and communities on the ground.
