Full-Text NBER Working Papers Online

Media Access to NBER Working Papers Online

Staff of newspapers and magazines in any part of the world may download the full text of all available working papers from our web site after registering their network with us. Free-lance journalists writing on economics and finance topics are also encouraged to register. We exclude economic and finance professionals with part-time journalistic sidelines from the free list. We also exclude investment advisory services and financial newsletters.

To register, email the following information to wwp@nber.org:

  1. The name of the publication(s) that employs you.

  2. The domain name for your institution. Typically, this is the last portion of your email address, such as 'tribune.com'.

  3. The network number for your publication offices. This is not required for sites that implement reverse name look-up, but only about one half of sites do that. Your network administrator is the only source for this number. Note that the network number is not the ``network mask'', which is a number beginning with 255.

Testing

You should be in our database within 48 hours. Test by browsing http://www.nber.org/papers/w0000. If you are not offered a full text download in PDF format (select on ``Full Text'' above the abstract) see our trouble-shooting guide.

Journalists without regular sites:

Some writers access the WWW via commercial ISPs which share host names and IP addresses with other institutions, or which do not provide consistent host names from one session to another. We can handle that if you send us the information requested here
